Hi Benjamin, Ian, and Others Command-Return on a link that has focus opens a new tab or window, but does not give me focus. If I want to open a new tab or window in Safari 3, and I am at the link, Command-Shift-Click will both open the new window from the link and give me focus. This appears to work in Safari 3 as well as Webkit.
In general, you can follow all the other suggestions for control-clicking on the link to bring up the menu to bring up the options to "Open Link in New Menu" or "Open Link in New Tab". On the Nightly Webkit builds, the usual VoiceOver contextual menu command (VO-keys-Shift-M), works to display this menu, so there is hope that this will be fixed in the next release of Safari.
