Greetings Fellow Mac Visioneers,
The question I am about to ask falls a bit outside the scope of this
group. But I am certain there is someone here who can help me.
I have a friend who uses Windows XP with JAWS. She wants to subscribe
to podcasts and (optionally) use her first generation shuffle as a
portable means of access... Though according to her, iTunes for
Windows is not at all supported by JAWS (e.g., there are little or no
scripts out there). I know fairly little about this, as I have always
used iTunes, on the PC with ZoomText, and now on the Mac with VO, and
rarely with Zoom. My friend would like to make the switch to Mac, but
it will be a while until she is ready to do so. So, baring this in
mind, I have the following questions.
Is it true that there is no JAWS support of iTunes for Windows? If
there is, can anyone point me to a good resource? If there isn't, are
there any viable alternatives to iTunes that are accessible, would
allow her to download podcasts, and either independently or in
conjunction with iTunes would sync said casts into her shuffle? She
also has a Victor; are there any facilities for downloading podcasts
via that route?
Best,
Abdul
