Lol why don't you just press return on it?  From the dock?

The problem is that the trash is a hidden directory in your home folder ~/ the name is actually ".Trash" ignoring the "" and noting that the . (period) indicates that it is a hidden file.

Just something interesting to consider and also because you can access it through the terminal

cd ~/.Trash

Anybody know why it is hidden like that? usually with other directories I can hide them and unhide them by changing their names to add or remove the "." but that doesn't even work here.
