It takes very little to keep a Mac running happily for years. There is a
self-cleanup which runs at 3AM every day so if you regularly shut down
or sleep your machine that maintenance won't run. There are commands for
the terminal to do that and little utility programs as well. MacJanitor
is one of them and others can probably suggestion additional ones.
Internet cookies and caches are created by browsers like Safari. You can
empty the cache by choosing Empty Cache from the Safari menu. To clear
cookies you'll have to go to Safari's preferences and choose Security
and then click the Show Cookies button and then Remove All, or pick and
choose if you like. RAM is well managed by OSX so you won't have to do
anything there.

Hi all.
I know that Leopard caches system data such as accessed programs, RAM
useage, internet cookies, internet databases, and so fourth.
Does anyone have suggestions or perhaps tips on what they do to clean
their cached data? It can be a program, or it can be steps you take
to delete cached data to your system.
Help is apreciated.
Thanks,
