I guess it depends where you are and what you have access too.
Bestbuy, Office max, and the like would surely have them, but at a
premium. Try tigerdirect.com. They will have a huge variety of
options from pre-built to build your own with every sort of feature
you like.
Here in toronto there's a corner in China town that has 25 or more
hole in the wall computer stores and the discounts are enormous. So,
I can often pick this stuff up really cheep. Any good local computer
store might have them, but if you are in a smaller center, they might
charge even more than staples or bestbuy.
I think over all I'd start with tigerdirect.

I have an airport router, so I guess my network would be able to

Where could I get one?

Hi Olivia, they might be a bit more expensive, but if you already
have a router and a network, then network attached might be the way
to go, especially if you don't plan to move it. USB is great for
portability, but now we're getting up to 8 and 12 usb ports on a
chassey and the power consumption vs performance is getting just a
bit rediculous, especially for mac users who have access to really
good network and firewire support.
So, if you're going to carry it around with you go USB, and if
you're going to leave it stationary, go network. These are really
easy to put together, so I'd buy the hard drive and enclosure
seperate and then you can have the componants you want. Some of
the new sata enclosures support up to a terabyte now which is just
rediculous.
I can talk you through it over the phone if you decide to get the
componants and build it yourself.

Erik

Hi Everyone,
Now that I have been downloading movies and TV shows thanks to
Itunes 8 I know I will need an external hard drive. What kinds of
hard drives do people have, and which ones would you recommend.
Also, How would I have my Itunes library downloaded onto an
external drive and sync my Ipod with it?
Thanks so much for any advice!
