I'd be interested to see whether or not the equalizer and other settings are spoken.

The new iPod nano will speak automatically once you have synced your content. THe speech option checkbox is in the info settings for the device. THis checkbox is checked by default.

Also, I should note that once speech options are set from the system prefs, (i.e) speech rate, and speech voice, these settings are permanent until you change them. Also, all syncing is done automatically, any new artist/titles/albums/podcasts/audio books will be spoken once you sync the content.

Another cool feature is that current playing content is slightly lowered when the iPod is speaking titles. THat is Apple has implemented ducking so that the user can hear the speech, and still listen to the currently playing content. It is a very nicely done feature.

Hey guys,
OK, so can I go get a new ipod nano now with speech?
Curious, how do you activate the speech in it.

Thanks,
Jed
