Hi Larry,
OK, I understand what's going on now. I assumed you had pressed the
link for either "New Releases" or "See All". The clue is that your
entries are all labelled by the the album title artwork followed by
the album title. This must be a visual layout of album artwork liked
with the album/artist name. In order to get more information about
the releases, you either have to select and press a particular album
(VO-space), in which case you are given detailed information about
that album, it's tracks, etc., or you press the link for "New
Releases" or "See All". Then, you get somewhat more detailed
information about albums by subject area ("Music", "Movies", "TV
Shows" etc.).
There's no pricing information at the level you describe, just the
album name with the word "artwork" and the name of the album repeated
again with the artist. This is meant for a brief overview. The other
thing you can do is select (VO-space) the tab for a different category
and review the album covers either in short form or by pressing the
"New Releases" or "See All" links. That give a page with more
information about all the albums in the selected category. Finally, if
you decide on the basis of the artist/album title that you want to
find out more details about a specific item, you can select (VO-space)
on that album link and get a very detailed page on that album and all
its tracks, as well as sample the music by navigating to the songs
table and pressing return to play a sample.
Hope this makes more sense.
Cheers,
Esther

On that new releases screen there are about 8 albums on the top of
the screen. Then, it should jump down and say This Wekk, September 8
(whatever the date is) and then lists artists and albums. That's
what I see.

Hi Larry,
I'm not sure that I understand the problem. I'm using VoiceOver in
DOM mode to navigate the New Releases section. I interact with the
page, then VO-down arrow from "New Releases" and hear "Page 1 of
2", "Sort by Featured", then in succesion "Death Magnetic,
Metallica art work", "Death Magnetic", "Metallica", Released Sep
12, 2008", "$9.99", "Buy Album", then the art work, album title,
artist, release date, price, and buy album button for the next
album, and so forth as I VO-down arrow through the New Releases. I
don't find any cases where the VO cursor goes over the artist's
name and have it read the album. Does the above not work for you?

Esther

Hi,
I'm finding some real challenges accessing some of the pages in
iTunes.
Go to the music store, go to new releases and click the see all
tab. It brings up screen with select album covers at the top of
columns. These album covers then have listings of albums and
artists under them. The columns have a header that says what the
date is. When you begin to work down these lists of links it has
the artist name and album name in print on the screen. However,
Voice Over just reads the album name. In fact, when the VO cursor
goes over the artists name it still just reads the album. Its
really strange. Any suggestions on how I can get iTunes and VO to
work better?
