Hi Krister,

Actually, that whole issue of what's selected and what you start playing in the iTunes Songs table is somewhat confusing. For example, in your own iTunes library there's a difference between "current song" and your selection. Pressing enter starts play for your selection. Space bar plays or pauses your current song, which is only the same as your selection if there is no previously playing song. So if you selected a first song and started it playing (with eitehr space bar or by pressing enter) and then moved your VoiceOver cursor down the Songs list you can only start playing the new song if you press enter, as you found. (And sometimes there's a glitch in Leopard where you have to move your mouse cursor to your VoiceOver Cursor with VO-Command-F5 before that works.) On the other hand, assuming the focus wasn't being glitchy, you could edit another selected file with Get Info (Command-I) while you were listening to your earlier song play. If you wanted to move back to the currently "playing" song (even if you paused it with space bar), you could use the keyboard shortcut "Command-L".

Cheers,

Esther

Well, there is a kind of glitch with the focus as you said, however, that wasn't the problem. In fact, thanks to David i found out i had pressed the wrong button all along. I pressed the spacebar as one does when playing a podcast or similar. What i of course should have done was pressing return... Silly me, well problem solved and thanks to everyone who helped me solve it.

Hi Krister,

I think this is part of the focus glitchiness I've been noticing ever since recently moving to Leopard. Try moving your mouse cursor to your location (VO-Command-F5) before you press enter. I'm still wondering whether Leopard has always behaved this way.

Hi listers.
I know this topic have been discussed before, but by then i had other
things on my mind so wasn't paying attention, sorry. However, my
problem is this: When in Itunes store, i want to listen to a song.
Well the first song is ok, you can listen to it and all is well, but
when i try listening to the next song, which can be several tracks
down the list, the song i listened to before starts to play again and i can't seem to select another one. What thing am i missing here? What
do i do wrong?
TIA
