I think you have to sync them all if you have automatic sync enabled.

You can check which podcasts you want to sync and the guidelines you want to apply. VO-right to the tab for "Podcasts" when your iPod Nano 4G is connected.. There's a checkbox that looks like:

Sync <popup menu> episodes

the popup menu lets you choose episodes according to how recent they are, whether they are unplayed and various combinations of these (including "All" e.g. "All" "1 most recent", "2 most recent", "3 most recent", "5 most recent", "10 most recent", "All unplayed", etc. --- I'm not going to type in all the various combinations).

You can apply these criteria to "All Podcasts" or to "Selected Podcasts" If you apply the rules to "Selected Podcasts" you get to check which ones you want.

If you want to handle any other combination (e.g., you want the 3 most recent unplayed episodes of most of your podcasts, but for one or two subscriptions you want everyhting), then you can always make up a smart playlist to handle this. (Rules would be "Podcast is True" and "Album is <name of your podcast>"). Then you would check that as one of the selected playlists you want sync'd on your Music tab table of selected playlists. This is just an example since you could obviously make up playlists in any way you want.

Cheers,

Esther
