Hi Dan.

I know what you mean. I read everying that happened. Including David's dealing
with Chris's stupid attacks on him, which were completely a waste of board
space and time.

David was the first person that replied to me when I joined the list, and I was
instantly rubbed the wrong way! Now, he doesn't get to me anymore. It's just a
personality quirk with him, I'm realizing.

I've been having an OFF LIST conversation with him for the past day or so. He
replies with the same short answers, that sometimes I have to guess at the
meaning. I'm getting good at it! I am assuming in my guesses that he doesn't
mean ill will. Which I don't believe he does. I really don't. I think he
just isn't very good at conveying what he means in writing. Sometimes its hard
to tell, just by what he writes!

That is one of the reasons why Felix doesn't like lists! Felix says, in
writing, you can't tell a person's personality. Not really. No inflections in
their speech, no instant interaction with with speaking live. I think David is
the perfect example of this.

Yea, David did seem to get all high and mighty. But I think, I honestly do, I
think he was just meaning to share that is is in the manual and then gave an
example of how he uses what you wrote about the mail short cut keys. He just
didn't choose his words very well, is what I think.

Hey! I didn't know about the mail shortcut keys! You are right, not everyone
reads everything in the manual.

Anyway, Don't read too much into the way David writes.

He's like my father in a way. I hate to compare them! Because my father had
Asperger's Syndrome. Yet he was super intelligent. Got a B.S. Degree in
Physics and did flight analysis' on guided missiles for the Navy as a civilian
in the 60's. Brilliant man, really. But my dad was a jerk sometimes when you
tried to have a conversation with him! He was emotionally distant, as if not
aware that the person he was talking to had feelings. He demanded and shouted
alot, which messed me up as a kid. Because I'm very emotionally sensitive! So
I thought my dad hated me growing up. I didn't understand his condition, until
later. Way later. After my daughter was born with the same condition! And I
began studying it, and then going, Wow! This is describing Dad! Then I began
to understand, and deal with my dad better.

Okay, so I've had a head start on this type of intelligent but sometimes
seemingly socially dysfunctional personality in some people.

How it goes. We are the ones who have to just not let it get to us, I guess.

Take care, And keep your discoveries coming!!
