The cop checkbox is in import settings in ITunes prefs.

All that will be on our hd are the pointers to the items ou select for your 
library.

where is the copy option located? Deleted everything from hard drive
successfully, but am still having the issue.
Also, I notice that when I pull up the Itunes folder all the TV shows
titles and descriptions are still in there on my hard drive.  Will the
still be there even when I uncheck the copy option?
Sorry, am still slightly confused about this whole external HD thing.
