And I'll add to this, by saying that if you want to get rid of the mounted dmg file, you'll have to eject it with command E, and then you can go into your downloads folder, and delete the dmg file if you don't want it

Hi,

Also, you can use the Repeate command to reread something. I can't remember what this is. And there is a save as feature in Safari. You have to VO shift M on the file to bring up the contextual menu and the n go to save as or download linked file as.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

Hi all, I need somebody to be there, and help me with this new mac
operating system, and I wanted to download skype, so I went to the
skype site on Sunday evening, and downloaded the program, but I called
somebody, and they said, go to the downloads folder and find the dmg
file which is a disk image, but there must have been about 3 or 4 of
these disk image files, and so the person suggested I get rid of all
but one, so I did that, and copied it over to the applications folder, and installed skype, but after this, that is when my shut down problems
started, so, should I have left all the dmg folders in the downloads
folder, and when installing a program, does it need to reference files
in the downloads folder, and, why doesn't it do something like
window-eyes, where it would say unselected, or what ever it says when
you enter an empty folder, and why, for example, in mail, can you only
read one item once, in order to read it again, for example, in the
message list, you have to vo right arrow to the contents table, and
back to the message list, and why is this, and why are there no
itemized lists, for example, 1 of 10, or something like that, because
it seems there is an itemized list with radio buttons, but not with
individual list items? Could I have installed skype the wrong way on
Sunday evening, for example, if the short cut said something like
skype, dmg disk image, 34mb, modified, yada, yada, and at the end, it
would say aleas, but if I missed that, then could I have inadvertantly installed skype from the short cut? I know I downloaded 2 skypes, but
there was no open save dialog, or anything like that, and I'm not
saying there has to be, but nobody explained this to me, and I would
preferre some type of open save dialog to assure me the file is going
where I want it to go, but I still think of things in terms of windows,
so forgive me, and I'll gladly be straightened out, and thanks in
advance.

Marty
