vlog help

Hello listers;  I decided to give wordpress a try.  I downloaded the  
software, and created my account.  I tried like the devil to follow  
the instructions.  I'm at the point now of setting up an sql data base  
with my server yahoo only to realize that If I had went there first,  
it would have helped me through the process.  but once I had already  
created a vlog on the wordpress.com site, I have to do it step by  
step.  I probably should learn more about how to do this stuff anyway,  
but its much more frustrating than it could have been if there were  
just a little warning on the wordpress site to check with your hosting  
service to see if wordpress is included in their offerings.  I'll keep  
at it because i should have one on my site, and its a good way to  
genrate links.  I think I have a good story to tell and in the future  
it will be a place to let people know about new product as well as new  
suppliers and such.  Thanks, Max
