Hey all, just back home after a week and a half away in the sunny / warm Northeast! NOT!!! woohoo! Soooo glad to be back in LA! I love eighty degree fall / winters! lol!

Anyway, I too am encountering this issue, with one of my artists and several of my TV shows.

I however, haven't changed any info whatsoever about the artist in question or the shows. I've resyncd many times, and once the shows are watched, they are removed automagically from the Ipod, but as new shows are added, it seems existing ones lose their containing folders. I.E. the show titles which are the folders that contain each set of episodes of the shows in question are actually still there, but they are silent.

Once in the folders though, the episodes of each particular show are announced just fine.

So, if I were wanting to watch two episodes of Heroes, for example, I'd navigate to videos / TV shows and then there might be silence. When I click on the silence though, I will end up with my Heroes episode titles or possibly end up in another folder for a different show with it's appropriate episodes.

As far as the musical artist is concerned, if I click in the silence where she should be, her material is there, so it's just that the containing folder in essence, isn't being spoken or is being removed for whatever reason.

I have a couple of ideas why this might be so I'll do a bit of testing and write back if I find out more, K?…

Anyway, hope everyone is well and having a lovely day!…

Laters Gators!…

Smiles,

Cara :)

I had this problem when the songs in question had their iD3 tags altered after they'd been synched to the iPod once already. So in other words, I synched the songs to the iPod, then changed the iD3 tag on that song, then resynched the iPod. This is when the trouble started for me. I've otherwise not had any problems with this.

yeahm I'll report it to apple. maybe there'll be something about it
in the next release of itunes. that would be nice!! I'm glad I'm not
the only one who has this problem. I also notice in the games menu,
not that we can really play them or anything, but it won't speak any
of those. so that makes me think that it's not anything to do with
how things are in the dialog, it seems like it's just the speech
engine on the pod not being able to speak certain things. which is
weird cuz the computer generates the voice files. I'll email apple
about it, though.

Hi Jessi,
I am having the same problem with my nano but htought it was just
me. I reported this problem toh te Apple Accessibility team but it
would be really useful if you could as well. So far they haven't
been able to figure out why mine is doing that. Mine is also not
speaking all genres. Is yours doing anything like that? If you
could please report this to Apple accessibility at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
that'd be great. I'd like them to know there's more than one
person having this problem.
And I have gone through my library and looked at the info dialogues
and everything is written as it should be so I don't think it's my
itunes library.
Thanks.
Ronit

Subject: nano not speaking all artists?

hey guys
I got my nano recently and I love it!!! thanks to everyone who
answered my questions about charging and everything. it's great!!!!
it speaks most of the artists, but as I'm clicking through them,
I find that there are a few that it won't speak. why is this? is
there a way to get it to speak all of them? it's like it's not
making voice files for all of them or something. or are there
just some things it can't pronounce so it doesn't try? it's kinda
annoying seeing all my artists and then seeing some blank ones
where it doesn't say anything and I'm like who is that? lol. and
they're all named right in my library, I went through last night
and made sure everything in my ipod playlist was named the way I
wanted it too. any ideas?
