Wow I wonder how long that's been there? Nice to know this one.

Just found out about a third way. Friend of a friend works in
Apple's accessibility team who said you can just do Command-Shift-B
to buy the track which is currently highlighted or Control-Shift-B
if you're on Windows. I scoured the internet, the iTunes help and
all the pull-down menus and this command is mentioned nowhere. Nice
to see that there is a simple key combo to do this but they could
have made it more discoverable. Might as well have not implemented it.

To summarize, there are at least ways, VO-Shift-Space and VO-Shift-
M with context menu navigation. Both work, but somebody just
exploring is not going to discover these easily. Lack of
discoverability in many case equals lack of usability and
capability. I'm not clear why the buy button itself, while visible,
is not announced to at least give a hint. It feels like both VO buy
solutions are 'mouse hacks' to simulate what a visual mouse user
would do. At least it's possible, if not obvious, how to buy a track.

Hi Chris,
Pressing VO-Shift-M brings up the context menu while on the Songs
table, which includes the option "Buy or Get the currently
selected track in the Songs Table." You don't necessarily have to
use the mouse clicks. I've used the context menu several times
now and it works fine.

Still seems like the actual buy process is a little weird. I go
to the iTunes store, the search on Apologetix. Then I go to the
Songs Table and interact with that. Going to the first row I can
space to preview Boulevard of Both Extremes. That all works fine.
I then VO-right a couple times to the price column. At no point
does it announce the Buy Song button which is next to the price.
If interact with that cell in the table all it does is tell me
there are five characters which are $0.99. If I do VO-I for item
chooser I just get a long list of $0.99 text over and over. If I
VO-A I still only get $0.99.
So if I didn't have existing knowledge of the buy song button
next to the price, how would I even know to mess with this? If I
VO-M and go to the Store menu there is no Buy option there
either. I also thought that hitting VO-Space would perform the
default action, which would be to buy the track since that's what
my VO cursor was on. The only way I could activate the buy button
was VO-Shift-Space to simulate a mouse click.
Is it really this convoluted? Silent buy buttons only accessible
via mouse clicks?
