Hi listers.
I have a weird problem that i hope you experts out there can solve for
me. I am trying to partition an external hard drive in two partitions,
one small Fat partition and one larger Macosx partition.When this 1
terabyte hard drive was new, before i had the mac, i partitioned it
using my pc to 1 32 gig partition for Fat and the rest was free. Now
when i try formating this disk using my Imac, i get a message saying
that the partitioning failed. "file system formater failed" it says
without any further explanation.
The fat partition is formated ok, but the bigger Macosx partition is
the one that fails.
What am i doing wrong and is something wrong with my Mac? and oh, i'm
using the disk utility to partition the disk, which as i said is an
external WD hard drive that i have connected using Firewire.
Thankful for any help you can give in this matter.
