HI Kara,
My fiance wrote the Audacity program, and one of the other
programmers is also blind. I know they've put in many accessibility
fixes in to the newest versions of Audacity for both windows and
mac. I am a windows user (although seriously considering switching)
and have used audacity successfully on windows. However, I do know
that mac users are able to use it with vo. I will forward your
message on to him and see if he can answer your installation
question since I don't know anything about that. Perhaps other users
of vo and audacity on this list can talk about their experiences..
HTH,
Ronit

Subject: Audacity and VO
Hey All, to those of you whom use Audacity with VO; I have a couple
of questions for you…
Firstly, in the installation instructs, I'm told to create an
Audacity folder within my Applications folder, and place all of the
contents of the .dmg file there. Then however, I'm told to launch the
Audacity.app file from within the Applications folder. What's the
deal? What am i missing here?…
Secondly, I'd thought I'd tried this app before, and it wouldn't
read with VO. Is there something I'm missing?… I've now downloaded
the latest beta so am wondering if there are any VO tips / tricks I
should know about, or if there's any particular version I should be
looking at using?…
Thanks so much for any assistance you may have.
Hope yer' all having a great day!…
Rock!
Cara :)
