Alex, what exactly happens when you turn the whiz wheels? I've switched the functions of the whiz wheels over on my PM 20, because I prefer to control the panning with my left hand and read with my right.

Hi,

I have all the setting as default as this doesn't work.

Thanks for listening,

Hello Alex,

The right whiz wheel handles left and right panning and the left whiz wheel moves up and down lines. You can change these functions in the Braille pane of VoiceOver Utility if the default settings don't suit you. You can also program some of the router keys.

Cheers,

Anne

Hi,

No, it works fine except for the panning. I have no idea how to do this.

I don't know how to pan left and right in Text Edit and other applications.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

Hi Alex:
Can you provide more specifics on the difficulties you are having with getting the PM device to work? You should only have to plug in the device via the USB cable, and VoiceOver should send Braille immediately to the device. Is this not what you are experiencing?

Hi,

Is there any guide or help you can offer me in connecting the Apple supported PacMate Braille display (PM-40), from Freedom Scientific?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,
