Growl

Hi all:
Has anyone played around with Growl?
I installed it about an hr ago and a friend of mine tried configuring  
Growl to announce incoming msgs with skype.  It looks like you can  
only set it up to announce an incoming msg notification or when a msg  
is being typed. Not the txt of the msg it self.
Any help would be certainly appreciated.

On another note, I find that while in Apple Mail, VO repeats my lines  
of text in an email body that I've written. Anyway around this?
