hey Nick,
yay, glad to see another person enjoying voiceover!!! it does my heart good to hear people say I'm new to the mac and am impressed with it so far, lol. yay!! I've found safari to be the most accessible browser, yeah. there are still a few things that apple needs to fix re voiceover and safari, but for the most part, safari is really great. there aren't too many of those navigation commands like in jaws and that's one of the things I'd really like to see more of. there is VO command h to jump through headings, VO command v to jump through visited links and VO command j to jump through form fields. I think those are the only ones so far. I never really spell check my email messages, haha I'm so bad I know!! so can't really tell you about the spellchecker in mail, but it surprises me that it's not the same. I thought the spell checker was the same throughout everything that used it? keep enjoying voiceover and feel free to write back if you have more questions!!

Hello guys and girls, my name is Nik and I am new to Voice Over and MAcs in general. So far I am very impressed with everything I have encountered. However, I have a couple of questions.

When it comes to accessing the web, is Safari the most accessable application out there? Also, I have plaied with DOM and group modes in voice over, but are there any other voice over navigation shortcuts simular to "H" to navigate headers using Jaws?

Also, I have a BC (book courrier) and wanted to know if anyone knew of a transfer tool for the mac or what success has been had with running the transfer tool in some sort of virtual windows environment.

Last (for now) Does anyone know of a accessable voice recording application that comes with the standard OS install?

Also,... I have worked out how to do spell check in text edit (command+;) and then use (VO+shift+m) to access the spelling suggestions. However, in mail, I can access the spell check using (command+;), but the VO shortcut to access the spelling suggestions does not work, so sorry for the spelling errors, but does anyone have any input on this?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Nik
