Hello,

When I posted that my MacBook ran for two and a half hours on battery, it was to say that I was impressed by how long it lasted, considering that I was running 7 applications: Finder, Mail, TextEdit, Safari, VisioVoice, Ical, and iTunes. I was also using a Braille display and the screen was turned up to around 90% as I was working with my husband on something. I think that two and a half hours under those circumstances was excellent.

Cheers,

Anne

Hi,

Nope, I have a 2.0 Macbook and get 5:30 hours out of it without wireless bluetooth and the screen dimmed to zero.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

                        hi to all

it seems that the first gen macbooks gave 4 hours or more even with wireless and screen dimmed to 0 percent. The newer macbooks that anne and I have plus a few others i.e. core 2 duo 2.0 and above, have lower capacity batteries
regars will
