try using the item chooser menu and and find the connect as button.
It's very annoying that Leopard assumes you wish to always connect
as a guest. Drives me nutz.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to connect to a file server at work and I
couldn't connect to it because of a button in the finder that
according to sighted asistance is called conect as. Is there any
way to access this button? I tried the time chooser menu and
nothing works. Any thoughts? Thanks.
