Hi,
Ubuntu will install fine on a Macbook or Mac Mini using BootCamp.
A helpful guide can be found at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook
The instructions are for 8.04, but work fine for 8.10 as well.
I actually did this install last week end with no issues, so please let me
know if you run in to any problems.
