On any Mac, either Intel or PPC. It is important to note, though, that if you are using a PPC and are going to emulate an x86--to run windows for example--you will need a lot of power to run at anywhere near native speed. This is because the PPC and X86 instruction sets are totally different from one another. The PPC processor has very few instructions compared to the x86, so one x86 instruction can and often does translate into many PPC instructions, and this translation is done in realtime. I ran this on my 1.33ghz iBook when it still worked, and it ran roughly at the speed of a Pentium 233, give or take. So it will run any PC-based os you wish and that will work on the emulated hardware, but be aware of an extreme speed decrease especially when emulating a different type of processor as will be the case if you run this on a PPC system.

Hi,

It will run Windows NT and 98 for sure, but the rest, I looks like it
will run JAWS and XP no problem.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

I only learned about virtulisation within the last year and think I
understand it pretty well from a nonprogrammer's point of view. The
only kinds of emulators that I've heard of are ones for games, though
I'm a little fuzzy on the difference between an emulator and an
interpretor like TADS etc. Anyway, will this one install Windows on
my machine? Can I use it with NVDA to take my Greek lessons and if
so, can I save them? Is there any chance that this would harm my
machine through a virus or something?

Hi,
All,

I found it! The thing most of us want/need. An accessible editor
called Qemux. I don't have a direct link, but the old Google trick
works great for it. I Googled "Qemux for Mac OSX free download".
Everything, minux a few buttons are accessible. It is free. Don't
worry if you have the wrong version, on start up it asks you if you
want to update, the first time you lauch it. It isnalls the new
updates without you having to lift a finger.

I am so exited.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,
