Hi,
Correct me if I am wrong,

In Windows wasn't there a converter win-tb or something that did this, and would it work with IMovie. Some of the DV cameras worked with IMovie and let you plug in an external VHS player, but isn't something available like such.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

Hi,

If you're talking about converting VHS tapes to digital format, without trying to break copy protection, it's probably easiest to get a combination VHS/DVD recorder, insert the VHS tape and a recordable DVD of the preferred type (DVD+R or DVD-R), and press the button to record to DVD. Then you can play the DVD on your MacBook or copy the files over to your MacBook hard drive and play them.

Also, is there hardware for my MB that will let me capture VHSs from my VCR in a digital format, and is such a thing accessible to VO users?

Cheers,

Esther
