Before you all conclude that the "User Guides and Information" folder
that David mentioned is not on your computer, try bringing up Finder
and selecting the "Macintosh HD" in the sidebar or if you don't find
this option in either the sidebar or other directories first issue the
keyboard shortcut for your Computer and devices (Command-Shift-C) and
then look for "Macintosh HD". Under the "Macintosh HD" entry check
for the "User Guides and Information" folder, which should be there as
an alias. Look inside this folder for various manuals. These should
be localized to your language and so should the name for the "User
Guides and Information" folder.
As Dan says, you can also check the Apple site for manuals .

I have lost mine before and was able to restore it.
they are on the mac os original dvd that come with your system.
