Hi Scott,

Someone had posted a note stating you could add radio stations. I was just curious how this was done?

You can't add radio stations to the list in iTunes, but what you can do is connect to the internet address of a live streamed broadcast and play it in iTunes by using "Open Audio Stream" (Command-U) from the Advanced menu of the menu bar. The example they give in the iTunes Help is entring in the full URL of the file that is a live stream, such as:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/sample.mp3

I downloaded a file that basically is a m3u file and I wanted to save this as a preset if you will. Unfortunately iTunes will treat it like a song and that surely wouldn't be what I'd want.

The m3u file is not a live stream URL.

I sure wish we could build playlists of radio streamsl

You can build playlists of radio streams -- but only the ones that are listed under iTunes. These are getting harder to do with iTunes 8. It used to be that you could open the streams and add individual selections to playlists. Now the only way you can put these into playlists is to open whole folders of streams (VO-backslash), select all (Command-A), and create a new playlist from selection (Command- Shift-N), and then delete the stream entries you don't want.

Cheers,

Esther
