You can also access the Applications folder and once you locate
iTunes, you can press the spacebar and activate the Quick Look
feature and it'll also provide the version and last modified date
info. This really is a slick feature.

Hi,
Hi there, a couple of questions for itunes users.
1. Has anyone had trouble accessing the contents of the about
dialog? I went to check the version of itunes installed, and
couldn't access anything useful aside from a close button, any ideas?
The iTunes about dialog doesn't seem to be accessible. There's a
general way that you can check the version of all software installed
on your Computer by using System Profiler in your Utilities folder.
You can bring it up either by navigating to it in your Utilities
folder (Command-Shift-U in Finder, then press "S-Y" and VO-space to
open it) or you can get to it by
using VO-M and arrowing down to "About this Mac", then VO-right to
the "More Info" button and press (VO-space). Interact with the
Contents table (VO-Shift-Down Arrow), then press "S-O" to navigate
to "Software". VO-down arrow to select "Applications", stop
interacting (VO-Shift-Up Arrow), and VO-right arrow to the Item list
table and Interact. Press "I-T-U" to navigate to "iTunes". VO-right-
arrow to get the version number and last modification date. Most
applications will be in the application directory, but if you want
to find out the exact location, stop interacting and VO-down arrow
past the splitter. You'll get complete summary information on the
application, it's version, last modified date, and location. This
works to provide information on any software application you've
installed on your system, incidentally, not just the ones from
Apple. Use Command-Q to quit System Profiler when done.
second, how does one go about deleting or moving songs to an ipod
connected? If you arrow up and down the songs table, nothing seems
to speak here, and all the commands in the edit menu seem to be
dimmed.
This depends on how you've set up your iPod. You can move content
onto an iPod by using VoiceOver drag and drop (e.g., move a playlist
onto the iPod device in the Source Table). If you have your iPod
set to sync content, then everything will be dimmed, because you can
only remove content by unchecking these items from the list of
things to be synched.
