The file you downloaded should be a disk image file. Open that, and you will see a file called webkit.app, or if you don't have the finder set to display file extensions, it will just be called webkit. With that selected, press command c to copy it. Now go to your applications folder, when in the finder, the key stroke command shift a will do the trick. Once the applications folder is open, press command v to paste the webkit application in to this folder. Now go ahead and open the webkit application. It will probably open with safari, so on the surface, you will be using the safari browser, but it will use the webkit you installed for its engine.
