Hello; That makes sense, but I sure didn't find anything like that when I went through the aol mail settings. Thanks, Max

that .no could be what is hanging things up. I have seen issues like this
and there should be an option somewhere on aol to allow mail

from foreign providors to come through. What happens is that the foreign providor appends a header that aol is blocking due to some character set
issue.

Well, that is what I figured. I replaced the a with the @, and they
received my message, but every time they try to reply the mail is
returned to them as undeliverable. Thanks, Max

Hello gang; I am having an problem receiving a particular email.
First, let me say that I don't believe it has anything to do with
apple. I think it has to do with a quirk of the particular internet
provider in italy. I sent this fellow an email. I had to alter his
address because it wasn't in the usual format. He received the
message because he called to let me know that he had been trying
unsuccessfully to send me email at my return address. Here is the
email address. If any of you have an idea of how I can receive mail
from it, I'd appreciate it a lot. His address is
aasmund(a)lundstivoli.no Apple mail won't let me enter it. My aol
account wouldn't let me enter it. My peoplepc account wouldn't
either. I set my spam filter to send any email to that folder
reguardless of what is potentially wrong with an incoming message.
I'm sure that I'll be ok if I can just send one message successfully
to that address. Any guesses? And have any of you run into this
before. And this is hampering my ability to follow up on an offer on
my most valueable piece of equipment I have for sale right now. I've
had to make several calls to italy because I can't send and receive
email from this man. And with the time difference, I've been playing
phone tag on top of every thing else. I hope someone has an idea.
Thanks, Max
