Hi Alex, couldn't you write to the guy and ask him to offer you a boxed lot? Explain that you're a charity and you can't bid, but if he posts however many you need as a boxed lot for a fixed price you will buy them.

Best,

Hi,

I can't, because it is on EBay, and ethically, we don't place bids using donated money, but otherwise it would be great for the lab I am starting.

Thanks for lsietning,
Alex,

Hay all, hopefully someone will find this helpfull.

The seller who sold me my emac has just listed a bunch of used but in
good condition emacs consisting of a g4 1ghz cpu, 1gb ram and a 60 gb
harddrive. Whilst they don't come with a os or a keyboard / mouse, at
a starting bid of £50, these really are the cheapist macs on ebay that
can run leopard.
I've watched auctions from this seller before and I feel quite
confident in saying that if you bid, you won't be paying much more
than £50 - I was the only person that bid on my emac so I got it for
its starting bid of £60, which I consider to be a steel!

Hope this helps and sorry to people in other countries for cluttering
up your inbox.
