Hi,
There are a variety of ways you can upload to an FTP server. If you
are comfortable doing this from the command-line instead of the GUI,
you can bring up Terminal (from Finder, use Command-Shift-U to
navigate to the Utilities folder, where you can find and open the
Terminal app.. Switch to the directory or folder that contains the
file, then connect to the ftp server.
For example, to transfer a file in your Documents folder, after
opening Terminal
cd Documents
ftp <username>@<server_address>
type your password in response to the prompt
put <filename>
Many FTP servers support SecureShell (SSH) for login and SFTP to
encrypt your logins and data. In that case you can use sftp instead
of ftp to upload files. Other apps that people on the list use are
Cyberduck, which is freeware, or Transmit, which is about $29 and
supports the most features, speed and stability if you do frequent
file transfers.
