Hello,
I own a ViewPlus Emprint. It is essentially a Tiger embosser with an
inkjet built in. ViewPlus doesn't plan to support the embosser under
the Mac for Braille or graphics, surprise surprise. Anyway, I tried a
few things, and got a strange result.
I selected "ViewPlus" in my System Preferences, and selected "Generic
PostScript" as the PPD. I attempted to open TextEdit and simply print
a "Hello World" document. Well, to my surprise, the thing started
embossing! But, wait, its not all good. What I received was an actual
raw output of the PostScript in grade 1 braille.
Anyone got any ideas how I could use Louis to send this thing raw text
and get some great Braille output? If it can read and emboss the raw
PostScript, why not Braille?
Thanks,
Ryan
