Same here, I wouldn't think having any infovox voices installed
should stop thisfrom working.

Soren, If you feel that it is installing Ivox voices that has disabled
the Voiceover ability to speak at login, do let assistiveware know
about it. They are receptive to such feedback, and they should fix it.
Best wishes, Simon

I have tried that. It doesn't work... I'll get some sighted
assistance and see if the login screen has changed. It seems as the
sounds are totally disabled at the login screen.

I'm sorry, that doesn't help. I think this is one of the vissio
voices which have changed something. I got the problem after I
installed a demo version of the danish voice.
I can't change the volume on the login screen as well...

If this doesn't work, try with a different acccount.

Hi.
My Voiceover doesn't speak at the login screen. I have checked
the
checkbox in the accounts settings.
The weird thing is that it worked for a month ago. I'm wandering
what
has disableed it?
Best regards

Tbhere are a couple of ways to use voiceover to get to this and
check the
right box so I hope what I am about to say helps.
In system prefs, go to accounts. In accounts, using voiceover
keys
with
arrows, you'll find "groups and login options". Interact with
this
and
choose "login options. Then tab to use voiceover at login
window"
checkbox
and hit space bar. you can close the window and it will work.

Folks,
I've been reading that you go to System Prefs, Login and check
a box
to add
voice over to startup on th elogin screen.
Voice over isn't in this list.
When clicking add and browsing to the voice over app on the Mac
HD,
rebooting it doesn't start untill I log in.
Anyone got step by steps that work for them?
Thanks,
Dj Paddy
