Hi Chris,

I did think about the Newegg offer, but I wasn't sure what the deal would be for Scott, since he's in the UK, and I suspect the mail-in rebate coupon is one for the U.S. However, I'm pretty sure the online purchase from VMWare would give him the 25% discount, That's why I said he could get at least a 25% discount.

Cheers,

Esther

You can do even better by going with an online download. I bought VMWare Fusion for $53 from Newegg with electronic delivery and no special coupons. I didn't know about the download stuff until I went to check out. Currently they have Fusion for $63 with a $10 mail in rebate.

Since you can get a trial of Fusion, and Virtualbox is free, why not download them both and see which works best for you? That would probably be the best way of deciding which will fit you better.

And if you decide to purchase VMWare Fusion, you should be able to get at least a 25% discount this month using their coupon code:

Now through 12/31/08 get 25% off automatically when you purchase VMware Fusion online and use the coupon code "FusionRocks".
List Price: $79.99
Your Price: $59.99
