new macbook question

Hi guys, well my wife who couldn't stand mac osx a year ago has 
highjacked my macbook pro. She says she now loves it. I'm thinking 
about buying one of the new aluminum macbooks but was wondering how 
fast they are? With my one-year old macbook pro 2.2ghz itunes seems to 
really hesitate so I was wondering if the new macbooks do this also? 
Any feedback from new (aluminum) macbook owners would be appreciated.
