osx 10.5.6 problem update

Hi guys, well, I think I figured out my wierd problems since updating 
osx. I downloaded the combo update from apple.com and installed it. I 
then went into activity monitor and killed i-cal helper. Then, I 
deleted i-cal and i-cal helper. Now everything seems to be working fine 
with no delays switching from program to program etc. Just thought 
you'd want to know.
