Hi,
If anyone here is interested. Between Eleven and One PM, Pacific
Standard Time, I am holding an open session for my Voiceover training
course. This training is offered free for our first half semester
course, and if we have good results, possibly after that.
Because we are stil working on getting our Server up and running, here
is a simple tutorial for using XChat to connect to our Voiceover
channel that we will be using tomorrow.
Download XChat Aqua from Sourceforge (SF.net).
Install it by dragging the XChat aqua folder into the Applications
folder, or copying it.
From inside this folder launch XChat Aqua.
If this is the first time you open it, you will be prompted to
continue. Click "Open".
Once XChat has oppened press command + "SHIFT" + "n" to bring up a new
window.
Type "/server irc.freenode.net" into the Edit box.
Then type: "/join ##voiceover"
You are now in.
If someone could write IRC instructions for the Windows and Linux
platforms, and would be great and much appreciated. Also, if you have
any additions or clarifications about the instructions posted here,
please let me know.
