Hi Scott,
And remember that you can navigate to any of the items in the Dock by
typing the first few letters of the application. Also, you can put
folders, etc. in the Dock with the "Put items on the Dock" Automator
workflow from Tim Kilburn's VoiceOver downloads pages at :

Hello,
Yep, there sure is. Just do this. When on the item in the Doc you
want to move either left or right, hold down the Option key and
arrow in either direction, left or right, then just release the
Option and Arrow key and away you go. Just do this for each item you
want to reorganize in your doc.

Hey Folks,
Just spending a bit of time tinkering with the shiney new
installation
of leopard here to get it running to my liking. Been a long time
since I modified the dock on my old install though, and the details
escape me. Is it possible to rearrange the order of items that are
already there, short of removing and readding them until you get the
order you want that way? I can do that, but if there's a quicker way
I'd like to know about it.
Cheers
