Hi,
A sighted mac user wouldmore than likely drag and drop whatever they wanted to move. We can do a drag and drop to a certain extent in VO, but I'm not sure if we can actually move files in this way. WHat i've done lately, to solve this problem is to download the Automator workflow that Greg Kearney has available, opened it in automator, and saved it as a plugin, assigning it to the finder. You can find it at http://www.w3.wmcnet.org/vo . ONce you've downloaded this workflow, unzipped it, opened it an automator, and saved it as a plugin assigning it to the finder, you then can select whatever number of files you want to move, hit VO shift M to bring up thecontext menu, go to the more submenu, the automator submenu, and there should be an option in there that'll say move, or whatever you'd named it when you'd saved the workflow as a plugin. At first, when I'd tried this, I thought that the option to save it as a plugin was under type in the save as dialog in automator, but I later discovered that further down the file menu in automator, there was a separate item that actually says save as plugin, that's actually the one you'll want. Hope this helps. Unlike in windows, you can't cut a file, you can cut text, but not files.

Hi all:

Is there a way to move files from one folder to another in the Leopard GUI and VO? Right now, I have to cpy my downloaded files from one folder to another, then del the original.

Many Thanks:

Michael
