Hi there. I can possibley ancer one of your facebook problems. I use  
facebook on the mac to. I have facebook added to adium to. I find that  
I have to log out of facebook in adium for some resion and then I can  
use the web interface of facebook just fine.
Um for your facebook chates mabey you can log into your facebook and  
try to deleate all chats that show up.  I hope this helps.
