Hi Dan,
Thank you. I like to read the messages in the in box, then when I
determine if I want to save it for postarity or trash it I move it at
that time. If I had the messages go into a mail box I would never see
it. I really like the grouping that mail does with my mail.

I don't use IMap, but I can answer your question about moving
messages. What I've done is set up rules for a lot of the mailing
lists I'm on, so that all my mail doesn't go into my inbox. Just go
to mail preferences with command comma, and the rules pane. Hope
this helps.

Hello people,
I am using Mac mail with my Imap gmail account. I cannot seem to
figure out how to delet messages from the server. I have tried to
dlete them using the delete button. This does not remove them from
the all mail box. I have been sending them to the trash box for
now. I know that I had to dlete them from trash and purge them on
my windows box. Is there a simmilar procedure that I am missing?
Next question, this question maybe answered with the eairler
question. Is there a faster way to send messages to differnt
folders or mailboxes? I am having to go to messages, then move
message, and choosing the correct mailbox. Thanks in advanced!!
