Hello,
Thanks. You are correct. One of the things that I'm concerned about is
improperly tagged links.
For example, I currently have a 2Wire Gateway 2701 DSL Router and many
of the links say XSLT, while other links are clearly marked.
BTW. The reason I am looking at cable is because I'm extremely tired
of AT&T's DSL speed problems. For example, every time AT&T's local
switch has problems, our speed is always reset to the lowest speed
settings and I have to argue with them to reset my speed to 6 MBPS.
Furthermore, I don't always get max speed. Many others around the
country have also had the same problems. Oh yes, I understand about
the myriad of things that can interfere with the speeds I should be
getting, but the situation is the way they handle problems in their
own equipment. I've also discussed these problems with the folks at
Paragain as well. Additionally, I've requested that AT&T do a "Rip and
Rebuild." Of course after that things work kind of okay for a while,
then something goes wrong with their equipment and right away they
reset me back to about 750 KBPS download speed and I've had enough of
it.

Hi,
I just tried that because sadly mine is from the Pre-Macbook days
when I did a lot in Firefox in large print.
I hope you find one. I think some of LYNKSYS' stuff work. DLink is
horrible for the way they label each link as a kriptic image title.
Thanks,

Hello,
I'm glad you have one that's working with Firevox. However, I'm
looking for one that works with Safari.

Hi,
Any stand-alone should be able to do it, besides some Lynksys
models and probably a few others.
I have one of the unaccessible Lynksys, and I just tested it with
Firevox, and it works beautifully.
Thanks,
Alex,
Thanks for listening,

Hello Alex,
Thanks for the Lynksys observation.
The other thing is that I want to install without any of that
useless CD install crap. I want to do it manually.

Hi,
So, yeah, Comcast.net eh. A Visually Impaired person works at
Comcast out of curiousity. There isn't any reason they
shouldn't, I am just pointing out that Comcast is accepting.
Also, Steer clear of the Linksys, unless you are absolutely sure
it will work with Safari. Some do, until you go to save and get
a Safari error.
Thanks for listening,

Hi Alex,
If we do this, we would be switching to Comcast.

Hi,
Which ISP, out of curriousity?
Also, Lynksys are aweful from my experiance, since every other
moddel needs Firefox or IE and won't work with Firefox.
Basestations are the best bet I think.
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
We are getting ready to purchase either a wireless router and
Cable modem or a Cable modem Wireless Router combined.
So my question is this. Which router has the best and
clearest interface for Safari and VO?
Or would I be better to consider an Airport base station.
We will also be connecting a few windows machines and a Linux
box as well.
Thanks.
