And you can also use control+f8 as well as VO=M twice. You have
options, that is yet one more thing that makes the OS so attractive.

Press "VO" + "m" twice to get to the status bar and then "VO" +
"Left/Right Arrow" to find the battery menu and "VO" + "Down Arrow"
to read the time remaining and then "VO" + "ESC" to leave the status
bar. Note: when you check the time you can go further down and then
