Hi all,

I know Fusion's been discussed forever, but I didn't notice these in the discussion as I skimmed it.

First, I think I've seen that people have finally got JFW to work reliably with Fusion. Did anyone ever figure out how to make it recognize caps lock as a modifier? I've gotten around that a bit by using the key remapping in version 2.0 to remap enter to insert. (which means I can ditch Sharpkeys, maybe? Just discovered this a few weeks ago thanks to some gentle prodding. ...) So not a huge deal to me if no one's figured this one out..but if you have I'd be interested.

Also, has anyone else noticed, at least on a MacBook, perhaps others (no idea, since i just have a Macbook) that F9, F10, F11, and F12 don't seem to work under a Windows virtual machine? F1 through F8 are no problem, though. Again, if there's something I'm missing, enlightenment would be appreciated.

An observation: I'd been using a virtual Windows machine that I set up with VMWare 1.X, and then upgraded when I got the 2.0 upgrade. That is to say, I ran the VM upgrader. I thought that from then on, the VM took a *lot* longer to get going and stable. Sure, getting the Windows startup sound didn't take too long, but from that time to when one could actually do anything with reasonable responsiveness was very long, sometimes it seemed like a couple minutes. So, I thought I'd just go ahead and trash the old VM and start over with a new one. The new VM, same configuration (20 GB virtual hard drive, 1000MB of RAM allocated, one virtual processor) seems to be behaving much better, although I can't be entirely sure, having only worked it through a couple reboots. One thing I can say for sure though, the System Access from my U3 smart drive loads quite a bit faster now, anyway. And Window-Eyes seems pretty snappy, too. We'll see if things stay that way for a while.
