Hi Mike,

Dan's instructions here are good. You want to make sure that your mouse cursor is routed to your VoiceOver cursor with VO-Command-F5 before you double-click on the splitter.

Cheers,

Esther

HI MIke,Make sure your mouse is on the splitter, before clicking on it. To do this, hit vO f5,and it'll tell you where the mouse is. It's not there, hit vo command f5 to put your mouse where the Voiceover curser is. THe splitter you want is found by finding the messages table, and then hitting VO down arrow, that's the one you'll want to hit vo shift space on twice to double click on it. This should bring back the ability to hit vo j to read the selected message. Personally, what I do here to read mail, is just hit return on the message I want to read, when I'm done reading it, I hit delete to delete the message, and when I do that, I'm returned to the messages table, and that works nicely.
Hope that helps you.

Hi Esther:

When I VO Right arrow, I hear "Horizontal splitter" "mail activity" ETC. When I tab, I hear get new mail etc. I have tried to interact with the splitter, move it up with the arrow key and click on it to no avail. I do hear the no more beep when I attempt to VO-J from the messages table. I'm beginning to think that my windows have been re_sized to small and the message content area is hidden.
How do I restore my windows to normal?
I may have to get some sighted help in bringing my message content area back.

Thanks:
Mike
