Hi,

I prefer to run my Google searches in group mode, and navigate by heading. If you use Command-Option-F to enter your search in the Google search box, you can use Safari's snapback to search results keyboard shortcut (Command-Option-S) to return to your search page at your last selected link, regardless of how many levels of intermediate web pages you have explored. You can use the Google search box and keep your toolbar and bookmarks bar hidden. There are other ways of running Google searches, including suggestions at http://www.icanworkthisthing.com/docs/mac_with_voiceover/index.shtml to use the Google text box. However, that will not give you automatic access to snapback to your search results page. See this post from the archives for so more details on how Command-Option-F with Google works:

On the Mac, search results in Google are treated as links, unless you are in Group Mode, in which case, related links are grouped, and you will have to interact with the grouping. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.

Good evening,

When using JAWS with IE7 I can navigate google by heading and each search result is a heading level 3.

With Safari it seems like there is a heading 2 for "Search Results" but that none of the search results themselves are a heading. Any thoughts?

Plus, is there a keystroke to navigate to a certain heading, I.E. Heading level 4?

Thanks,
Everett
