Thanks for the tips and tricks. Unfortunately, my msg content area was pulled kind of off screen. I had to get some sighted assistance to locate it. When the mouse was moved to the bottom of the screen, an arrow appeared and you had to drag it upwards. I'm not sure if that was the splitter I was seeing but a note for next time if it should happen. LOL
