Hi,
For jabber/GTalk, ICHat all the way. IChat makes extensive use of the
"VO" + "F1" list of windows to get to accept or deni.
Thanks,

Hey, I have tried to use the video chat within Gmail and to begin
with, let me say that the Gmail interface is quite unfriendly, but
the blind user is forced to use the standard interface because the
basic html interface does not offer the same features. Never the
less, I was able to add a contact, I am able to see the entry for my
contact, but am not able to trigger a call or to start a chat.
However, if a contact starts a text chat with me I can navigate and
read as well as successfully chat back. As for the video call, I
see the window pop up, well it is not really a window, but it is
part of the Gmail page as a frame or something like it. What
happens vissually is that the window pops up and there is a accept
and decline option. I am not able to see these options even once I
have located the "window where it says my contact is calling and
requesting a video chat.
I have tried Ichat as well, but Have not had much in the way of
success there either.
So my questions are:
Has anyone worked with Gmail chat regular chat as well as video and
if so, all input is greatfully received.
Second question, what chat clients out there do you guys suggest
which works well with voice over and provides the full functionality
of text chat, voice and video?
Thanks in advance for all input.
Nik
