backup is different from copy.  When you copy it is streight one for one. 
when you back up, consollidation takes place such that you can then change 
the backups when new things get added to the original.

Good morning,

For those of you who use time machine, have you found it to be
incredibly slow?  Seriously, TM has only backed up 2gb in about 15
minutes.  I can copy 2gb o the same drive in about a minute without
time machine.

Is SuperDuper any faster?
